While plenty of moms encourage their kids to make a Christmas wish list for Santa, I am absolutely not one of those moms… at least for as long as possible. For the last four years, I have put together my son’s wish list, and it’s been glorious.

Does Everett need a new winter coat? Heck yes, Santa.

Does Everett need new educational toys? Oh, he'd love that Gramms.

Would Everett enjoy a new table and chair set for his quiet time? Why yes Gigi, he absolutely would.

The best thing about making his list for him - no last minute changes that Santa couldn’t possibly pull off on Christmas Eve.

Below is a list of favorite received Christmas gifts, from a mom’s point of view.

Hurtle 3 wheeled scooter - Everett is not the most prone to risk and danger. This scooter gives him enough security to enjoy himself, while also being in control. There is a removable seat for younger kids, or just a different kind of ride. Not only will the scooter grow with him, but his younger sister will be able to enjoy it soon too. Don’t worry, Everett is a great sharer.

Melissa & Doug wooden pretend play kitchen – Everett loves pretend play, and this is a great gift that has encouraged his imagination. He’ll play with his kitchen while “cooking up” food for my husband and myself, but he’ll also play independently. This is been a great attention-keeper while I have to tend to Nora or take care of a couple chores around the house. I love that this is a gift that will be enjoyed for years.

Native Shoes – Jefferson style – Natives are awesome! These are durable shoes, that we’re excited to take to the park, the pool, the river, and splash pad come summer time.

Magnatab A to Z uppercase – This find has Everett so excited to learn how to write his ABCs. The board comes with a magnet pen that’s used to trace the alphabet, and as the pen goes over the letters, little metal beads are raised to the top. Everett loves to “pop” them back down after doing each letter. It has proved to be a great incentive to continue practicing his writing.

Delta Children kids wood table and chair set – This set is SOLID! Once assembled, this set is not going to wobble or break. It’s also functional, stylish and makes Everett feel like he has his own work area to practice his ABCs, color and draw. I love that this adds color into our playroom without it screaming “child”, ya know?

Playskool Heros transformer rescue bots – Everett is obsessive about any toy that can transform. He will go back to them daily. This set is super fun because he is able to do all the transforming on his own (no parent assistance needed) and the vehicles are all familiar.

Liberty Imports mini foam dart blaster multi pack – This was an impulse. I thought it would be fun if Santa brought blasters for not only my son, but for my husband and I too. We’ve spent a ton of time since Christmas “pewing” each other. This $12 toy may actually be my son’s favorite that he received. #momwin
